Terrell A. Ratliff, Esquire was born and raised in Camden, New Jersey. Terrell pursued his undergraduate degree at Morgan State University. He Later transferred to Temple University where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Throughout his undergraduate career, Terrell worked as a Legal Assistant in various area law firms. Naturally, after graduating from college, he pursued his Juris Doctorate at the University of Toledo College of Law.
While earning his Juris Doctorate, Terrell was President of the Family & Juvenile Law Society and Community Affairs Director for the Black Law Students Association. He also assisted at the Legal Clinic, counseling indigent clientele and interned with the Toledo City Prosecutors Office as a Certified a Legal Intern by the Ohio Supreme Court. Terrell also managed a class of 30 high school students in the Law and Leadership program where students where students gained insight on constitutional and criminal law.
Terrell is licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Federal Court for the District of New Jersey. Terrell focuses his practice on Family and Criminal law in municipal, superior and Federal Courts as well as Personal Injury, Civil Rights, Funeral Industry Defense (Funeral Directors, Morticians, Professionals and Facilities) and Civil litigation.
Terrell is a member of the New Jersey bar Association, Camden County Bar Association, Atlantic County Bar Association, National Bar Association, Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey, Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of Pennsylvania, Christian Legal Society, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys.
Terrell understands that being accused of a crime is an emotional and stressful time for his clients and their families. Accordingly, he approaches every case with a hands-on philosophy, using all of his knowledge and skill to achieve a favorable result. Terrell has been named the honor by the National Trial Lawyers Association as Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers in New Jersey.
